Sleigh Bells
Up to performer
One of the hardest things that a percussionist has to learn is to know when to play and when not to play. Every December, a percussionist is given sleigh bells, which they have to figure out how to navigate the instrument silently before and after playing. This piece is a play off of that. Once you correctly perform this piece, you will be able to devlop a useful new skill!
This piece is FREE! The directions are available below. Please send me an email and maybe a video if you decide to perform it!

Movement I.
Start with the sleigh bells on the floor with the handle facing away from you. Stand up straight behind the sleigh bells. Pick up the sleigh bells and bring them to chest height holding the handle on top. If at any point the sleigh bells are audible, restart from the beginning. When restarting, you may make as much sound as you would like.
Movement II.
Play continuous ghost notes in eighth notes at quarter note equals 80. While playing, think about your past, then your present, and then your future. The sleigh bells should remain silent until the end of the movement.
Movement III
